Fellows Program

A four-year fellowship in responsible citizenship

The CRC Fellows Program gathers a small cohort of Lee students who want to think carefully about citizenship, virtue, and the common good. Fellows read seminal texts together, engage visiting scholars and public intellectuals, and grow into the habits of mind and character that responsible citizenship requires.

What Fellows Do

Across four years, Fellows participate in the intellectual and civic life of the Center:

  • Reading seminars on seminal texts — half-day conversations, four times a year

  • The annual Symposium, our flagship multi-day event with discussion seminars and a public keynote

  • Discourse Dinners that bring students, faculty, alumni, and community members around one table

  • Alumni mentoring and peer mentoring within the cohort

  • A senior thesis in the fourth year

Each Fellow receives a $2,500 annual stipend in recognition of the program’s seriousness and their commitment to it.

The Four-Year Arc

  • Year 1: Apprenticeship
Find your voice in the conversation

  • Year 2: Contribution
Help carry the work of the Center

  • Year 3: Leadership
    Mentor others, guide the conversation

  • Year 4: Stewardship
Articulate a vision; shape the next cohort
